A little about clay

Ceramzite is a high-quality heat insulating building material. This material is obtained as a result of firing clay rocks. At high temperatures, clay is swept away. After her cooling, clay pieces are crushed into clay granules. There are several types of clay. Ceramzite is classified by the size of fractions and volume weight. Wall gas boilers are popular now, they are installed mainly to country houses.

The main technical characteristics of the ceramisite are:

– water absorption (from 8 to 20%);

– frost resistance (25 cycles of freezing / thawing and more);

– high fire resistance;

– Environmental purity;

– Absence of substances that destroy concrete.

There are two types of clay. Granuzite crushed and sand.

Ceramzite crushed stone widest material. It is an arbitrary form granules. It is obtained by crushing pieces of crawled clay. Ceramzite crushed stone sorted in size pellets on various fractions. The smallest size of the granules of rubble – 5 mm, the greatest – 40 mm.

Ceramzite sand is a small fraction of clamzite with granules 0.14 … 5 mm. It is made or crushing a large clay, or by roasting a small clay fraction in shaft furnaces. Typically, the method of crushing is used for production. Volumetric weight grainzit is divided into classes. There are classes from 150 to 800.
